Fear of Pop is a project by Ben Folds.   The album consists of rock/pops instulmentals and spoken words.   There are two pieces featuring William Shatner.

William Shatner is featured as The Artist Formerly Known as Shatner on a song.   He also appears on the secret track.




 
 LEONARD NIMOY (Spock)


Mr. SPOCK'S MUSIC FROM OUTER SPACE

The album of Leonard Nimoy's songs and some related instrumental tunes such as "Theme from Star Trek" or "Mission Impossible".   Track 1 to 10 were released in 1967 as LP record.   Track 11 was a single released in same year.   Track 12 to 18 were originally from "TWO SIDES OF LEONARD NIMOY" (1968).
Some songs of this album are not only Nimoy's song but also Spock's.   For example, track 11 "A Visit to a Sad Planet" begins with first officer's log, and track 12 "Highly Illogical" is Spock's observation of humans.



HIGHLY ILLOGICAL

A Leonard Nimoy's song compilation.   This album contains several pieces which also seen in "Mr. SPOCK'S MUSIC FROM OUTER SPACE".


 
SPACED OUT / William Shatner & Leonard Nimoy

A compilation album of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy's songs.
There're some tunes by Nimoy that aren't contained in "Mr. SPOCK'S MUSIC FROM OUTER SPACE" nor "HIGHLY ILLOGICAL".

WHALES ALIVE / Paul Winter & Paul Halley

A collaboration of humpback whales and instruments.   Nimoy is featured as narrator, and read poets such as "Moby Dick".
This album was recorded just after the movie "ST IV: The Voyage Home".   Tracks "George and Gracie", "The Voyage Home" are named after the film.

OUT OF THIS WORLD

Nichelle Nichols' song album.   "Theme from Star Trek" is the vocal version of Star Trek theme.   "Gene" is a tribute to Gene Roddenberry.

Patrick Stewart is featured as narrator once again.   This time, it's not classic, but symphonic rock spectacular by Rick Wakeman.

OL' YELLOW EYES IS BACK

Brent Spiner sings standard numbers.
Track 6 "It's a Sin (To Tell a Lie)" was recorded with the support by back vocals of Sun Spots -- they are LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes and Patrick Stewart.   Dennis McCarthy (composer of DS9 theme, ST: Generations and many other Star Trek episodes) also joined to this album as co-producer and arranger.



OUT TO SEA Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

A soundtrack album of the movie "Out to Sea" on which Brent Spiner himself appears.   Four tracks are performed by him.



 
DISNEY'S GEPPETTO

This is the soundtrack album of Disney's TV musical "Geppetto".   Brent Spiner and Rene Auberjonois (DS9/Odo) took part in the show.

The premire CD by the vocalist Tim Russ.   This disc contains four rock/pops standard numbers originally by James Tylor, Billy Joel and so on.



TIM RUSS

The first full-length album of Tim Russ.   This CD was released from GNP crescendo records, the distributer of Star Trek original soundtracks, and its producer Neil Norman's band supported the performance.   There are three Tim Russ's original songs.
